Upon completing the last Blog, I mentioned how Dream Images & Dream Symbols can represent Out Of Body Sounds experienced. It makes little difference whether I was lucid dreaming or unconsciously dreaming. Regardless of the mental processes taking place during the dream, some of these Imagery/Symbols were related to Out Of Body Experience.
The source of Dream Images & Dream Symbols were largely acquired from my dream journal. After exactly one year of recorded dreams, I decided to review the dream journal. I hoped to decipher which dream Imagery/Symbols correlated to specific sounds I experienced. My Dream Journal included as much of the dream as I could recall. In addition to recording the dream contents, I also recorded emotions, passions, focus points, feelings, and everything during the dream. After reviewing my dream journal, I realized that I repeatedly experienced the same or similar Imagery/Symbols.
Imagery/Symbols Related To Out Of Body Sounds
For the purposes of this Post, I categorized the Out Of Body Imagery/Symbols in the following progressive sequence:
1- Imagery/Symbols occurring immediately prior to an Out Of Body Experience. 2- Imagery/Symbols occurring at the commencement of Out Of Body Experience. 3- Imagery/Symbols as the Out Of Body experience ascends. 4- Imagery/Symbols at the plateau of the Out Of Body Experience. 5- Imagery/Symbols as the Out Of Body experience commences to terminate. 6- Imagery/Symbols as the Out Of Body experience actually terminates.
Dream Imagery/Symbols Not Related To Out Of Body Sounds
However, not all dream Imagery/Symbols were representative of Out Of Body experiences nor the sounds that accompany the dream. I, therefore, speculated that the overwhelming majority of dream Imagery/Symbols, bare little relationship to Out Of Body Experiences.
I’ve listed some precipitating activity that may not be related to Out Of Body Sounds:
1- Daily activities. 2- Strong emotions. 3- Questioning about significant life issues. Amazingly, quite conscious activities such as meditating prior to sleeping could precipitate a dream.
For example, assume you have a problem that requires resolving. Prior to sleeping, you request your unconscious mind to seek an answer during your sleep state. This “Request” could be the trigger that precipitated the very Imagery/Symbol occurring in your dream. As a result, the dream imagery may be precipitated by your “Request”, and may not represent Out Of Body Experiences. 4- Medical related issues. 5- Mental state such as anxiety, confusion. 6- Past unresolved issues that occurred 20, 30 years ago. 7- Childhood related issues. 8- Even noises occurring outside your home window can in fact precipitate Imagery/Symbol completely unrelated to Out Of Body Sounds.
These Imagery/Symbols are in no way representative of all the possible dream Imagery/Symbols. These are listed as examples. That said, I correlated specific categories of Imagery/Symbols with Out Of Body phenomena or even Out Of Body Sounds.
Specific Dream imagery/Symbols are as myriad as the individual dreamer. All Manner of events, circumstances, or even unconscious events can be the trigger for dream Imagery/Symbols. These categories briefly covered areas that will be more thoroughly described in the upcoming Blogs. For further information on Dream Symbol Interpretation, I’ve linked an article on dream interpretation posted on the Monroe Institute website.
I will re-write my Dream Journal Manuscript in the upcoming series of Blogs. This will include the entirety of my experiences. The Manuscript was composed in an almost rudimentary fashion and assumes that the reader has minimal knowledge in this field. My criteria are my own personal experiences, therefore I made my own inferences and conclusions. As we are all both unique individual & social in nature, my inferences are also colored by my personal story. My birth, rank, family, spiritual beliefs, and intelligence, all played a factor in my conclusions.
So there you have it. In the final analyses, you must decide for yourself. I will schedule a series of Blogs to be published every week. I’ll publish Blogs every 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th of each month until my manuscript is completed. Review our other Blogs.
